Growing Pains Drama Series Theme Song

5 Years ago I created a youth drama program in my local church called Growing Pains. The drama ministry consisted of a series of skits based on real life current events taking place in the lives of young people. It was such a rewarding experience to work with the youth and giving others a taste of their world from their perspective. The series of skits dealt with many challenges that young people face on a daily basis such as, drugs, sex, bullying, peer pressure, etc.

The truth of the matter is even as an adult, I am still experiencing growing pains. We must remember that no matter what age we are, we are still God’s children.

Life comes with hardships, sickness, hurt, pain, strife, and more.  When we are disobedient God still loves us unconditionally. Sometimes we cry, complain, and yell when we don’t get our way; but God is still so merciful to us. He shows us favor; yes the favor of God is amazing! In the midst of growing and maturing in God, we must experience those growing pains. This allows God to break us, and then build us up in our most holy faith. He is the potter, we are the clay. It’s not an easy process for the potter to shape and mold us, it takes time and focus.  God takes His time with us to make sure that we come out looking like pure gold.

What an honor and a privilege to go through growing pains during this Christian walk because I know that in the end, I will be a reflection of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. So I say Lord take your time with me, have your way in my life. I’ll deal with the trials and tribulations because I know the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof, the world and they that dwell therein. The woman with the issue of blood suffered through pain for 12 long years, but she gained healing and was made whole because of her faith in Christ. It’s like the old saying “No pain, No Gain.” What pain are you willing to endure to gain what God has for you?
